Weekdays, join us for romantic waterfront dining by celebrated Chef Steve Rhee. On weekends kicking off Friday nights, Mykonos comes to Miami with live DJ and a party atmosphere featuring a festive soundtrack, twirling napkins, and dancing that will make you say “opa!” Position Overview: The Maitre'd at Kiki on the River is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service and smooth restaurant operations. They oversee the front-of-house staff, manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and handle guest inquiries and complaints. The Maitre'd plays a crucial role in maintaining the restaurant's reputation for high-quality service and ensuring an unforgettable dining experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities: Guest Relations: Greet guests as they arrive and thank them as they leave. Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Assist guests with special requests and accommodations. Reservations Management: Manage and organize restaurant reservations through the booking system. Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and efficient seating. Maintain accurate records of reservations, guest preferences, and special occasions. Seating Coordination: Assign guests to tables and optimize seating arrangements based on server sections and guest preferences. Monitor and manage table turnover to maximize restaurant capacity and guest satisfaction. Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth flow of service. Staff Supervision: Supervise and train front-of-house staff, including hosts/hostesses and servers. Schedule and coordinate staff shifts and breaks. Ensure staff adherence to restaurant policies, procedures, and standards of service. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the kitchen and service staff. Relay important information, such as special requests or dietary restrictions, to the appropriate team members. Coordinate with management on daily operations and special events. Administrative Tasks: Manage the restaurant's waiting list during peak hours. Prepare and present daily reports on reservations, seating, and guest feedback. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess stand and front-of-house area. Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in reservation management software and basic computer skills. Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, as well as restaurant operations. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Professional demeanor and appearance. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations. Passion for delivering exceptional guest service. Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
